FCL SHIPPING

What is FCL?

FCL stands for Full Container Load. In an FCL shipment, a container is allocated to one shipment rather than being shared with cargo from multiple unrelated shippers.

An FCL shipment does not necessarily mean the container is physically filled to its maximum capacity. The term describes the shipping arrangement rather than how full the container is.

When can FCL be useful?

FCL can be suitable when a shipment has sufficient volume, requires dedicated container space or benefits from avoiding cargo consolidation with other shipments.

What is LCL?
